Fluffy, golden pancakes perfect for a weekend breakfast. Simple ingredients yield tall, tender stacks.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Steps

  1. 1Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. 2In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. 3Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combined — small lumps are fine.
  4. 4Heat a lightly greased griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  5. 5Pour about 1/4 cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (2-3 min).
  6. 6Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side (1-2 min).
  7. 7Serve warm with maple syrup and butter.
