Steps
Steps
- 1The three rums are not interchangeable — the layered character comes from using distinctly different styles, so do not substitute one for three measures of the same.
- 2Combine all the liquid ingredients in a blender with a cup of crushed ice.
- 3Flash blend for no more than 5 seconds. This is not a frozen drink; you want it chilled and aerated, not slushy.
- 4Pour unstrained into a tall tiki mug or chimney glass.
- 5Top with more crushed ice to fill.
- 6Garnish with a mint sprig slapped between the palms.
- 7Serve with a straw. The original bar limited customers to two, and it was not a joke.
