International Workers' Day

May 1st is International Workers' Day, commemorating the historic struggle for workers' rights, the eight-hour workday, and fair labour conditions. In Bulgaria it is an official public holiday marked by trade union demonstrations, open-air concerts and family gatherings to enjoy the spring weather.
