Swedish Public Holiday in Sweden
About
Midsommardagen — Midsummer Day, the Saturday falling between 20 and 26 June. It is arguably the most important day in the Swedish calendar after Christmas, celebrated with the raising of the midsommarstång maypole, herring and new potatoes. Note that the larger celebration happens on Midsummer Eve, the Friday before, which is a de facto but not a statutory holiday.
