Crop Image

Drag to select the area you want to keep, or type exact values. Pick a fixed aspect ratio when you need one — processing is local, with no upload.

Drag and corners

Drag to draw a region, move the frame, or grab a corner to resize it.

Exact values

The X, Y, width and height fields take exact pixels — handy for repeatable crops.

Fixed ratios

Lock 1:1 for an avatar or 16:9 for a cover; the selection recomputes automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. Cropping runs entirely in your browser via the HTML canvas — the image stays on your device.

Does cropping lose quality?

Cropping only discards pixels outside the selection and does not rescale what remains. JPG files are re-encoded, which is practically invisible; PNG stays lossless.

How do I crop an exact square?

Pick the 1:1 ratio — the height is derived from the width as you drag, so the selection stays square.

What format is the result saved in?

The same as the original if it’s PNG, JPG or WebP; otherwise PNG.
