Steps
Steps
- 1Heat the oven to 200°C/400°F. Wipe the mushrooms clean with damp kitchen paper rather than washing them, then twist out the stalks and chop them finely.
- 2Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the onion for 4 minutes, then add the chopped stalks and garlic and cook for 4–5 minutes until the liquid they release has evaporated.
- 3Take off the heat, cool slightly and mix with the sirene, parsley and pepper.
- 4Brush the outside of the caps with the oil and set them hollow side up in a baking dish.
- 5Fill each cap generously with the stuffing, pressing it in, and top with the grated kashkaval.
- 6Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese has melted and browned. Serve hot.
