In 2025, Turkey has 14 public holidays (These are Turkey’s official public holidays (resmi tatiller), uniform nationwide. Ramazan Bayramı and Kurban Bayramı follow the Islamic (Hijri) calendar, so they move about 11 days earlier each year; their dates come from the official Diyanet calendar, which Turkey fixes in advance by calculation rather than moon sighting. Three half-days are not listed as separate holidays: the afternoon before each bayram (arife) and the afternoon of 28 October, the eve of Republic Day.
