Frequently asked questions
What information is on each country page?
Each country has a profile with its dialing code (+), currency, ISO-3166 alpha-2 and alpha-3 codes, internet domain (ccTLD), capital and region — plus links to the country's licence plates, postal codes and airports.
What is the difference between the ISO-2 and ISO-3 code?
ISO-3166 alpha-2 is a two-letter code (BG, DE, US) used in domains and forms; alpha-3 is a three-letter code (BGR, DEU, USA) used in passports and statistics. Each country has one of each.
Where does the data come from?
Codes follow the international standards ISO-3166, ITU-T E.164 (dialing codes) and ISO 4217 (currencies). No external services are queried — everything runs in your browser.
