In 2025, Ireland has 10 public holidays (These are the ten statutory public holidays of the Republic of Ireland, uniform nationwide. Good Friday is NOT among them — many businesses close and it is widely treated as a holiday, but it carries no statutory entitlement. Northern Ireland follows the UK calendar instead and adds Saint Patrick’s Day and the Twelfth of July. Note also that the Irish August bank holiday is the FIRST Monday in August, whereas the British one is the last).
