In 2026, Ireland has 10 public holidays (These are the ten statutory public holidays of the Republic of Ireland, uniform nationwide. Good Friday is NOT among them — many businesses close and it is widely treated as a holiday, but it carries no statutory entitlement. Northern Ireland follows the UK calendar instead and adds Saint Patrick’s Day and the Twelfth of July.
