Frequently asked questions
How do you read Morse code?
Each letter is a sequence of dots (short) and dashes (long). Letters are separated by a space and words by "/". For example SOS is "... --- ...".
Can I hear the code?
Yes. The "Play" button sounds the code with standard timing — dot = 1 unit, dash = 3 — and the correct gaps between letters and words.
Which characters are supported?
All letters A–Z, the digits 0–9, and common punctuation (. , ? ! / @ and more). Letters are case-insensitive.
What is the SOS signal?
SOS is the international distress signal: "... --- ..." — three dots, three dashes, three dots, sent with no gap between the letters.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The translation and audio all run entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
