  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves (minced)
  • 800 g canned crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 250 g ricotta cheese
  • 300 g mozzarella (shredded)
  • 50 g parmesan (grated)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

    Heat olive oil in a large pan. Cook onion and garlic until softened (3 min).

    Add ground beef and brown, breaking it up (5-7 min). Drain excess fat.

    Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer 20 min.

    Mix ricotta, egg, and half the parmesan in a bowl.

    Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

    Layer: lasagna sheets → ricotta mixture → meat sauce → mozzarella. Repeat 3 times.

    Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
